Join us for a virtual community conversation about the environmental impacts being experienced by neighbours of York1’s facilities on Lottridge Street and Gage Avenue on Wednesday November 26 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
This forum will provide an opportunity to:
✳️ Hear from residents living nearby the facilities about the impacts on their daily lives
✳️ Hear directly from York 1 representatives
✳️ Engage with staff from the Ministry of the Environment regarding the regulation and enforcement of noise, air and odour pollution controls at waste transfer facilities like York 1
All are welcome to attend and participate in this important discussion about accountability, environmental standards, and neighbourhood well-being. The virtual meeting, facilitated by Councillor Nann and Ward 3 Community Climate Action Coordinator Kerry Le Clair, will spotlight the many complaints and questions we have received from our community members regarding York 1’s operations and how they are affecting the neighbourhood. York1 reps will be in attendance to respond to community concerns.
Participants can pre-register for this community meeting at https://tinyurl.com/yutnjrtw . Feel free to share with friends, family, neighbours and networks.
The session will be recorded so if you are unable to attend, please send any questions you have in advance to kerry.leclair@hamilton.ca, so that we can include them in the meeting and also ensure you have a link to the recording to view afterwards.
